Winter Survival Guide

As we head into February, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things that help me survive the LONG Minnesota winters. First up, I love sipping ginger tea from mugs made by local pottery artists. I also have a cozy swivel chair where I can curl up with a good book, and I always have a soft, faux-fur chevron throw blanket nearby. Since it gets dark so early (5:00 PM!), I rely on my portable lamp to keep things well lit.

Next, here are a few things that are part of my nightly routine. A sleep spray for my pillow helps me unwind, and a rich hand cream keeps my hands from getting dry and cracked. I also use two different masks: a lip mask and a sleeping face mask, both of which help combat the itchy, dry skin that comes with winter.

Another favorite of mine is my collection of marbleized tapered candles—I'm always adding to it! I keep them on sculptural candle holders on my dining table, along with a cool, handmade matchbox I found on Etsy. Let's not forget—a beloved candle for the bathroom or any space where you'd like to add a lovely scent.

Lastly, I use a heatless curling set a couple of times a week to keep my hair looking great. Bonus points for being heat-free!
