3 Mood Boards I’m Loving Right Now

This week’s post is less “how-to” and more welcome inside my design brain. These are three mood boards I’m loving right now — each with its own energy, palette, and point of view. If you’re craving warmth, nostalgia, or a little drama, one of these just might pull you in.

Burnished Lounge

Burnished Lounge layers vintage, retail, and trade into a warm, sculptural mix. Porter Teleo wallpaper sets the mood behind a vintage De Sede Non-Stop sectional (forever fave) with a pillow mix of pattern, velvet, and jacquard.

Overscaled stacked-tube sconces frame the scene, while a hand-painted ceramic table lamp made in NYC adds intimate glow. A jellyfish-inspired flushmount in English bronze floats overhead. Underfoot, a sculptural rug by Atelier Février softens the geometry.

Center stage: a patinated brass + marble coffee table; nearby, a burlwood shelf/cabinet and a solid-oak blocked-pillar lounge chair. Art by Minneapolis artist Jesse Matthew Petersen brings dimensional collage drama.

Perfect for anyone who loves warmth with an edge — and rooms that feel collected, not decorated.

Golden Hour Modernity

Golden Hour Modernity celebrates retro charm with a modern edge. I curated an all-retail design that brings some of my favorite colors to life, drawing inspiration from a classic ’70s palette but giving it a fresh, contemporary twist.

The striped rug grounds the space, while the artwork steals the spotlight as a bold focal point. And the sofa? A true statement piece — part comfort, part sculpture, all personality. The burlwood coffee table adds just the right amount of warmth and richness.

This design is all about mixing nostalgic vibes with modern elegance to create a room that feels both timeless and current.

Perfect for anyone who loves old-soul style with a new-day mindset.

Velvet Current

Velvet Current flows with contrast and confidence. The deep wall color sets a dramatic tone that makes every element sing — from the sculptural chandelier to the luxe drapes.

The marble table anchors the room with fluid energy, playing beautifully against the rich rug. Teal velvet chairs with bronze frames bring a punch of glam, echoed by the striking bar cabinet. And the art? A forever favorite — full of texture, emotion, and movement.

This is dining with a mood — bold, layered, and unforgettable.

Perfect for anyone who believes a dining room should feel as fabulous as the dinner party.

These boards are about mood first and rules later. If one speaks to you, that’s usually your sign. And if you want help bringing something like this to life in your own home — you know where to find me.
